Jim is a graduate of the US Naval Academy, Class of 1956. He served as a line officer in both surface ships and submarines and is a Qualified Submarine Officer. Following Naval Service he spent 19 years in Aerospace and Deep Submergence development programs ranging from the Gemini and Apollo Space programs to Deep Submergence Vehicles in engineering and marketing capacities. Following his engineering Development career, he was the Vice President on Marketing and Sales for Crest Engineering, an International Oil and Gas Engineering and Construction Management company in Houston, TX. He retired in 1985 and served as Vice President of Marketing for the Electric Vehicle Development Corporation.
In 1993 he and his wife Bonnie moved to San Diego to be near children and grandchildren and established P&G Images, Inc. a printing and graphics business.
As a Rotarian, Jim has served as Past President of the Rotary Club of Del Mar and is active in International Service Projects. In addition to leading work projects for Esperanza, Jim has been a principal in attaining $40,000 in Matching Grant Programs from Rotary International supporting the Esperanza Building programs and is currently establishing a Micro Credit Program in support of small business development and job training for Esperanza.
Jim and his wife Bonnie have been married for 49 years; have five children and eight grandchildren.
