Ms. Gilda Padilla De Vilaplana, Director
Gilda was born in San Diego California however; she lived in Tijuana Mexico until she was married. She is a graduate of the University of San Diego with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. She has worked in different family businesses including Seven Up Bottling Co. and Tropicana Juice in Mexico. She and her husband opened Blockbuster Videos and AM PM Mini Markets in Baja. She worked in retail for 10 years.
Gilda is now dedicated to her family and the work of Esperanza. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Esperanza International and is the President of the Board of Directors of Fundación Esperanza de México. She has been the driving force behind a new project for Esperanza Mexico which is the development of a planned community of 50 homes. Her work brought about the donation of the land from the government and she is continuing to work with other agencies and people to develop this project.
